Our client is a highly regarded, innovative business based in Colchester. Operating at the forefront of building services, they deliver expert support and maintenance across air-conditioning, heating & gas, renewable energy, BMS and electrical systems.

Driven by a strong company culture and a genuine commitment to quality, transparency and long-term client partnerships, they are now seeking a like-minded Maintenance & Service Scheduler to join their growing team. This role sits at the heart of the business, working closely with both the Engineering and Finance teams to keep operations running seamlessly.

Job Duties

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly organised, proactive and motivated Maintenance & Service Scheduler to play a pivotal role within the business. Working closely with engineers, office colleagues and the finance team, you will help coordinate service delivery, support day-to-day operations and ensure an exceptional experience for both domestic and commercial clients.

From first enquiry through to job completion and handover, you will be a key point of contact, managing client and engineer liaison to ensure works are efficiently scheduled and delivered. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role requiring strong coordination skills, a practical mindset and a sharp eye for detail. With a new system soon to be implemented, this is an ideal opportunity for someone who embraces change and thrives in a progressive environment.

 

  • Communicate confidently with clients, engineers and suppliers to ensure smooth, timely service delivery.
  • Schedule and coordinate maintenance, reactive and installation works.
  • Ensure job details, documentation and updates are accurate and shared promptly with relevant stakeholders.
  • Assist with preparing, issuing and following up quotations to secure work or gather feedback.
  • Manage the end-to-end client journey, delivering a consistently high level of service and satisfaction.
  • Order materials and ensure job information remains accurate throughout the workflow.
  • Support engineers with planning, access arrangements, parts queries and problem-solving.
  • Complete general administrative tasks and contribute to operational reporting.
  • Actively contribute to a positive, collaborative and innovative team culture.
