Job Description

We are delighted to be supporting our client, a well‑established property management company in Colchester, in recruiting a proactive and organised Accounts Administrator. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a varied position, enjoys problem‑solving, and is confident communicating with tenants, contractors, and colleagues.

Job Duties

You will play a key part in the smooth running of the office and the wider property management function. Your responsibilities will span reception duties, administrative support, tenant liaison, invoice processing, and monthly utility billing.

 

Duties (to include but are not limited too):

 

Daily

  • Reception duties including greeting visitors and handling incoming calls.
  • Processing invoices: scanning, coding, creating transactions in Released, and submitting to authorisers.
  • Tenant queries: logging maintenance requests, checking lease coverage, instructing contractors, and ensuring issues are resolved.
  • Downloading supplier invoices from portals in line with the invoice matrix.
  • Providing general administrative support to the wider team as required.

 

Weekly

  • Assisting with payment runs.
  • Supporting debtor management.

 

Monthly

    • Taking meter readings across multiple sites.
    • Updating spreadsheets and calculating tenant utility charges.
    • Raising sales invoices in Released for water, gas, electricity, and solar usage, and issuing them to tenants.
    • Reconciling supplier statements.
    • Reconciling Released to Sage.
