Our client is a fast-growing property insurance specialist based in Borehamwood, and they’re looking for an experienced Senior Account Executive to drive performance, lead from the front, and deliver outstanding service to their commercial and residential property clients.

Job Duties

Our client are a fast-growing property insurance specialist based in Borehamwood, and are looking for an experienced Senior Account Executive to drive performance, lead from the front, and deliver outstanding service to our commercial and residential property clients.

 

You’ll combine hands-on account management with team leadership, acting as a key link between clients, insurers, and your account handling team. This is a visible, influential role working for an ambitious Broker.

 

Duties (include but are not limited to):

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of property insurance clients (commercial & residential)
  • Act as senior point of contact for complex risks, renewals, MTAs, and claims support
  • Lead, mentor, and support a team of Account Handlers / Executives
  • Ensure exceptional service delivery and compliance with FCA regulations
  • Negotiate terms and placements with insurers and underwriters
  • Drive retention, cross-sell, and new business opportunities
  • Review workflows, improve processes, and raise service standards
  • Support onboarding and training of new team members
  • Work closely with senior management to achieve business targets

Company Description
Applicant Specification
  • Proven experience in property insurance (broker or insurer background)
  • Strong account executive or senior account handling experience
  • Leadership or supervisory experience
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills
  • Strong technical knowledge of property risks and policy wordings
  • Organised, proactive, and commercially minded
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing business
  • Previous experience with Acturis platform or similar preferred
  • Cert CII (or working towards) (advantageous)
  • Experience handling complex or high-value property portfolios (advantageous)

DBS/criminal records check to be carried out by employer: Yes

Full driving licence and own transport preferred: Yes
