Our client is has been supplying Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) spare parts to heavy industrial plants worldwide since 1981. With a strong supplier base across Europe and North America, the company serves clients throughout Asia, Africa, Australasia, and South America. An opportunity has arisen for a Shipping Officer to join their UK warehouse team. This role is ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail and an interest in logistics, looking to work within a small, collaborative team.

 

 

 

Job Duties

The main purpose of this role is to ensure the efficient and accurate coordination of all outbound shipments from the UK warehouse, supporting global logistics operations across air, sea, and courier channels. Acting as a key point of contact between clients, freight forwarders, and internal teams, the Shipping Officer plays a vital role in maintaining documentation standards, meeting dispatch deadlines, and contributing to the smooth running of the wider supply chain.

Duties (include but are not limited to):

  • Liaising with clients and their freight forwarders
  • Arranging collections and dispatches via air, sea, and courier
  • Ensuring all company and client documentation is accurate and compliant
  • Providing shipping support to Sales Engineers and the Warehouse team

  • Basic IT literacy (Word, Outlook etc.)
  • Previous experience in logistics or shipping is advantageous
  • Willingness to learn and take on training
  • Clear communication skills and ability to work well within a team
