Welcome, Sam!

Lighthouse Personnel are thrilled to welcome to our team our new Business Manager, Sam Felgate. Get to know Sam and his role at Lighthouse Personnel in this Blog!

I come from an Apprenticeship recruitment background, previously working for a national training provider helping young people make their first step in the world of work. At my previous employer, I started out as a Telesales Executive where I reached out to potential new clients and within 2 years of joining the business, I gained successive promotions to Recruitment Consultant and then Recruitment Manager respectively. I have a genuine passion for helping others achieve their dreams and seeing long-lasting relationships flourish. I am a keen footballer/cricketer and love spending time with friends and family.

I am joining Lighthouse Personnel as Business Manager, and my duties will vary. I will be involved in Business Development, Recruitment, Compliance, Marketing – a bit of everything really! 

As soon as I sat down with Gerard to discuss potentially joining the team, I knew it was the next step I wanted to make in my career. Myself, Gerard and Rosie have a vision that is very much alike, and everything they have set out to achieve in recruitment is something I want to be a part of. Spending a few days with everyone, it is evident that the team they have started to build have really bought into that philosophy and the end goal. Speaking to people in the local area, Lighthouse have already built up a strong reputation in their relatively short life span, and I am hoping I can bring value and energy to the team.

I would like to think I will fit in very well, having worked with Gerard previously at my last employer. Everyone in the team seems very friendly and have been extremely welcoming. One thing is for sure – my new colleagues will have my singing to put up with as I cannot help myself singing along to the radio!

The thing I am most excited about is seeing the company go from strength to strength and growing. We have a vision to change the culture of the recruitment industry and the hard work to make that happen is sure to be an exciting journey. I am very excited about where Lighthouse will be in years to come and am honoured to be a part of this challenging venture.
